justify;\">The oldest sections of most cemeteries, in Wilmot and elsewhere, contain the small markers for children who died very young. Below is just one example in Wilmot Centre of the marker for William Lautenslauger who died in the mid-1800s. Children, and their mothers, in the early years of Canada, frequently died during childbirth or from various diseases.
