Wilmot Centre Cemetery
The Wilmot Centre Cemetery, established in 1843, is located at the corner of Bleams Road (2517 Bleams) and Sandhills Road. Three military veterans could be identified. Also present was a wooden marker, over a year old, that will likely disintegrate and disappear if left untouched.

This grave marker for Doris Weber will likely disintegrate from the weather and disappear if not improved.

The oldest sections of most cemeteries, in Wilmot and elsewhere, contain the small markers for children who died very young. Below is just one example in Wilmot Centre of the marker for William Lautenslauger who died in the mid-1800s. Children, and their mothers, in the early years of Canada, frequently died during childbirth or from various diseases. At this time there were no vaccinations available.
